Business Terms & Conditions

These terms govern all goods and services supplied by Tyre Bay Bolton Ltd. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by them.

1 Definitions

"Company" refers to TYRE BAY BOLTON LTD.
"Customer" refers to the person or business purchasing goods or services.
"Goods" include tyres, wheels, valves, TPMS sensors, batteries, and other products supplied by us.
"Services" include tyre fitting, balancing, puncture repairs, wheel alignment, battery fitting, vehicle inspections, and related work.

2 Quotations

All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to product availability. We reserve the right to amend quotations if additional work becomes necessary after inspection.

3 Orders

An order is accepted when we confirm it or commence work. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

4 Pricing

All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable unless stated otherwise. Disposal charges, environmental fees, and specialist parts may be charged separately where applicable. Prices may change without prior notice before an order is accepted.

5 Payment

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, debit cards, credit cards, and approved account payments. Vehicles may be retained until all outstanding balances have been paid where permitted by law.

6 Tyres Supplied by the Customer

Where customers supply their own tyres:

  • We cannot guarantee the quality, age, storage history, or suitability of customer-supplied tyres.
  • We reserve the right to refuse fitting tyres that are unsafe, damaged, incorrectly sized, or do not meet legal requirements.
  • No warranty is provided on customer-supplied tyres.
  • Our workmanship warranty applies only to the fitting service.

7 Used Tyres

Where used tyres are supplied: Used tyres will be inspected before fitting. We will only fit tyres that comply with UK legal requirements. Used tyres are supplied with only the warranty required by law unless otherwise agreed.

8 Wheel Alignment

Alignment readings may be affected by worn or damaged steering and suspension components. We may recommend repairs before alignment can be completed accurately. Alignment cannot correct faults caused by damaged vehicle components.

9 Puncture Repairs

Repairs are carried out in accordance with applicable British Standards where possible. We reserve the right to refuse repairs where a tyre cannot be safely repaired.

10 TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems)

TPMS sensors may become damaged due to corrosion, age, or previous repairs. We are not responsible for failure of old or deteriorated TPMS components during normal removal or refitting. Replacement sensors or service kits will incur additional charges where required.

11 Workmanship Warranty

We warrant our workmanship for 12 months from the date of fitting. This warranty covers installation defects only. It does not cover accidental damage, impact damage, misuse, road hazards, or normal wear.

12 Manufacturer's Warranty

New tyres are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty decisions remain the responsibility of the manufacturer. We will assist with warranty claims where possible.

13 Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Checking tyre pressures regularly.
  • Inspecting tyres for damage.
  • Returning for torque checks where recommended.
  • Ensuring wheel nuts are rechecked after approximately 50 miles if advised.

14 Vehicle Condition

We are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage.
  • Corroded or seized wheel nuts.
  • Stretched wheel studs.
  • Damaged locking wheel nuts or locking wheel nut keys.
  • Hidden defects discovered during work.

Additional labour required to remove seized or damaged components will be chargeable.

15 Delays

We are not liable for delays caused by: parts shortages, manufacturer delays, equipment failure, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

16 Storage Charges

Vehicles left with us for more than 48 hours after completion may incur storage charges unless otherwise agreed.

17 Collection of Vehicles

Vehicles must be collected promptly once work has been completed and payment made.

18 Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded. Subject to applicable law: We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our liability shall not exceed the total value of the goods and services supplied for the relevant transaction.

19 Complaints

Any concerns should be reported as soon as possible to enable us to investigate. We aim to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.

20 Privacy

Personal information will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

21 Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

22 Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in force at the time of the transaction shall apply.
